When I was pregnant with my first I started researching EVERYTHING right away and I wanted to get and buy everything I needed for my pregnancy, the right clothes, the right products. But I learned along the way that I really didn't need all that much. I got things that weren't that efficient or useful and some things I didn't figure out till the end. So here are all my simple must haves for my preggo Mama's. 1) LEGGINGS LEGGINGS LEGGINGS! My favorites are the Blanqi brand and Target finds. In the early months I loved the ones with a band, and in the 3rd trimester I loved the ones with no belly band. Blank is amazing because they grow with you from no bump, to a big bump. You can fold them or wear them over the belly.
2) Layering tank tops -Old Navy long tunic tank tops-they will last you through your whole pregnancy and be helpful for postpartum life. 3) House shoes -your feet eventually feel the strain of the extra weight; slippers, crocs, house flip flops. 4) PJ's -Comfy ones that will grow with your growing hips and bump. Kohl's, Target and Pinkblush have been where I find mine. 5) Epsom salt & lavender oil for baths -Soak that growing body, self care is MUCH needed. Plus the epsom salt will ward off the achey cramping limbs, like charlie horses in the middle of the night, as well as a magnesium supplement. 6) Running shoes -you will want proper support if your walking for a long period while pregnant. I love my Nikes personally. 7) Comfortable no wire bras -best if you can find ones that will accommodate breastfeeding. My favorites have been from Kindered Bravelery, Destination maternity, Jessica Simpson's maternity line, and sports bras to accommodate nursing as well. 8) Shorts -if your active or a Mom of multiples, preferably comfortable ones for the house and to wear out. This has been my hardest struggle since most maternity wear it either pants, leggings, skirts or dresses. I found a good pair of jean shorts from Target, a linen pair from blushmaternity, and I got lucky with a P90X, Beachbody workout pair that fit pre baby, pregnant and post baby. 9) Flowy tops -that will work with a growing belly and postpartum life to make Breastfeeding easy while out. These you can find anywhere really but my favorite places are Pinkblush, Old Navy & Target. 10) GRACE -Give yourself ALL the grace in the world. This truly is a beautiful time but often a challenging time. Watching your body change, or all the weird things that happen or that you feel. Just remember what a joy this it.
